Summer half term is the time to get away with the whole family. Enjoy the first rays of sunshine, beautiful surroundings and pleasant temperatures. In addition, all sights and attractions are much quieter than during the busy summer months.

Summer half term on Lake Garda or on the Adriatic Coast
During your stay on Lake Garda, you will enjoy mild temperatures. Usually, it is already around 20 degrees here during this period. These temperatures are ideal for hiking, cycling, or visiting the cities of Milan and Verona. Near Lasize you will find the Monte Baldo mountains. Take the cable car up in Malcésine and enjoy enchanting views.

If you want to visit Venice, we recommend a stay on the Adriatic Coast during Summer half term. Can you already see yourself in the Gondola enjoying the pearls of Venice, eating a delicious Italian ice cream in St Mark's Square, or dreaming away on the Rialto Bridge while gazing over the water? With temperatures reaching almost 21 degrees, this city is perfect to visit at this time of year.

Frequently asked questions about summer half term

The summer half term runs from Monday 26 May to Friday 30 May. Holiday dates may differ by local authority, but the majority are following these dates. Please always inform in advance when your school has half term.

Swimming fun during the holidays is definitely important! Estivotravel offers various campsites with both indoor – and outdoor pools, so that there is water fun in every weather. In this period many campsites are busy setting up for the high season, therefore it might be possible that not everything is open at the campsite yet.

At campsites Birkelt Village, TerSpegelt, Pra delle Torri, Union Lido and Bella Italia you will find a heated swimming pool during the Summer half term.
